first version @ TEDxDelft, 2018
A mix of beamers and webcams project similar tables with snacks on top of real ones. Activites by participants on one table influence another. Interaction with the food equals interaction with something or someone else in the space.
Technology is often depicted as something that distances us from our food. If we are what we eat, then this implies a difference between food and that-which-we-eat. With our more and more sedentary lifestyles, perhaps a reference to food is healthier than the actual thing. The Projection Snacks installation raises questions on the difference between technological promises and the “real world”.
